It’ll Be a Spooky NO Full Moon 🌙 Halloween 🎃
We enjoy all the moon phases but especially get ticketed when a full moon lands on a holiday or birthday (we love a good cosmic celebration).
So, when we looked ahead and saw that we’d have a crescent moon this Halloween, we couldn’t help but wonder how it might change things.
So, let’s talk about how to prepare for a spooky No full moon Halloween:
It’ll be much darker
Every 19 years (6939.6884 days), the moon returns to its original spot and phase like a clock. It’s called the “Metonic cycle” and can predict things like eclipses.
Last year, 2020, on Halloween, we got to experience a super Blue Moon. It was bright and full—auspiciously generating a lot of extra nighttime glow for your charmed activities.
The next Halloween full moon won’t happen until 2039. Though this year, you might be eating your candy amongst a much darker sky.
And less natural moonlight might inspire you to rethink your costume.
Maybe you could add more metallic, reflective, or glow-in-the-dark materials to your outfit to mark this spookier than average night. Also, if you plan on being out, try using a small flashlight or something to light your path, so you can get back to your enchanted abode.
Using this moon’s energy
Moon phases have a significant impact on the earth, and our lives. Our chief editor follows the moon cycles almost religiously. She charges her crystals on the full moon nights, and when the new moon is on the horizon, she releases any negative thoughts or feelings into the night sky.
A crescent moon is “waxing,” or when the night sky is just stars. It’s a time for renewal and to let go of any nasty stuff that’s been holding you back.
So, on this Halloween, consider releasing and cleansing.
You could jot down some new hobbies, passions, business ideas, or nature walks you’d like to do in the coming months. Or be like our team, and before your big night out, try a moon bath. Fill up your tub with cleansing oils like lavender and rose petals. If you only have a shower, you can use relaxing and natural body soaps to wash away anything no longer serving you. AND don’t forget to release any negativity on this ominous night.
Can we finally relax?
Although last year’s Halloween full moon was supercharged, we probably didn’t get to experience its total spiritual energy, maybe because most of us were worried about the 2020 shutdown.
This Halloween will have more mellow energy, which is something most of us might need.
Like our CTO (head of technology) commented during one of our Zoom calls, they’re looking forward to the “new moon” phase this month to “gently ease us into the holidays.”
Most of us have seen the iconic full moon peeking through a patch of jack-o-lanterns, cute black cats, and the witch on a broomstick. But a crescent moon is just as auspicious on Halloween. So, take time to look up at the night sky on October 31st and plan for this charming moon.
