The Craziest Mercury Retrograde Of 2021 Is Here - 3 Things to Know

If you’re even slightly intuitive or perceptive, then you’ll pick up on the frenzy of miscommunications and tech-glitches. Yes, it’s Mercury retrograde.

Here are the dates for 2021:

  • January 30 to February 20

  • May 29 to June 22

  • September 27 to October 17

It’s not only a time when things get super strange, but also you may feel increased psychic abilities, have vivid dreams, and receive more cosmic messages. Yet preparing for a retrograde is like prepping for any natural or universal phenomenon: a good plan is your best defense.

This retrograde is predicted to be the worst of 2021 because these 3 things are about to go down:

1.) Mercury and Venus

It’d be cute if Mercury and Venus made peace in conjunction, but that’s not often the case. Communications will falter all month. You might be unable to find the right words (or any words for that matter).

Other people might say things that are a little off, but be patient. Everyone is not only communicationally stunted from last year’s quarantine but also this year’s supercharged Mercury retrograde.

Best Plan of Attack:

  • Double-check all emails before sending them

  • Misspellings and grammar mistakes are rampant

  • Give yourself some slack if you say something wrong

  • Other people might be mean - try to let it go

2.) Mercury and Gemini

Queen Mercury is the ruler of Gemini (its 3rd house). When they combine forces during retrograde, things get “doubly” weird—the combo grants Mercury spectacular trickery.

So, don’t be surprised if strange things pop up in twos. For instance: not only one pair of your favorite shoes vanish, but two. Most likely, they’ll magically reappear after June 22nd…hang in there.

Best Plan of Attack

  • Watch out for strange stuff happening in twos

  • Avoid any conflicts if they happen more than once

  • When something comes up twice, sit quietly and then confront

3.) June 10th Eclipse

There is nothing more spectacular than watching an eclipse. Albert Einstein was fascinated by this phenomenon, and many ancient cultures saw an eclipse as a sign of divine intervention. Nowadays, we think they’re pretty cool.

The last time an eclipse happened with a retrograde was back in 2018, and it was a doozie. This year, it’ll be happening in conjunction with the “ring of fire” eclipse on June 10th.

Best Plan of Attack

  • Emotions will run high - so take time to re-center

  • Energy will flow in all directions - take time to recharge

  • Do more meditation

  • Do more Yoga

  • Go out with friends (or a post-COVID date)

  • Please turn off all your devices before going to bed (you’ll thank us later for the fantastic dreams you’ll have)

Not all is lost. If you take this time to strengthen your positive relationships, hone your communication skills, and remove anything that’s no longer working, then you’ll survive unscathed. Coming off a pandemic year will make this especially difficult, so take it easy and listen to yourself. You are your best ally, and no one can take you down, not even the planet Mercury!

So, how are you surviving Mercury retrograde 2021? What did you do?
