3 Signs Your Spiritual Practice Needs a Reset
Spirituality is different for everyone. In some cases, hearing the word “spirituality” might conjure up images of a specific religion, a cult, aliens, the divine+ feminine, single-source energy, gods and goddess, woo-woo sub-cultures, or mumbo-jumbo.
We don’t want to limit anyone's beliefs or experiences around those practices. However, we’re ready to do a spiritual reset and maybe you are too.
Here are 3 ways to know you might need a spiritual refresh
#1) Praying, meditation, vocal incantations, or manifestation aren’t working anymore
You know how to call things into existence, but lately, it’s been an uphill climb. Nothing is coming your way, and worse, the feedback loop seems to be broken. Trust us. You’re not doing anything wrong. Instead, your spiritual practice needs a refresh.
Here are some things to add to your daily incantations:
A diffuser to calm your space and open your senses
A quiet location that has lots of squishy pillows and blankets
Water nearby
A full stomach (being hungry is distracting)
A crystal, stone, rock, or shell that grounds you
#2) Your relationships are faltering
We all go through ups and downs. Sometimes we nail our relationships, and other times, we miss the mark and wonder what went wrong. If all your close connections show signs of wear and tear, then it might be time to step back and give more love.
Here are some signs your best relationships are slumping
You feel trapped
You feel anxious
You feel ugly
You feel ashamed about something that happened in the relationship
There’s a reoccurring fight
Your intuition is firing off warning bells
All of our relationships have some spiritual significance. Relationships are experiences that will later transform us into our higher selves, which is good for all concerned.
With that said, if you know your relationship(s) has hit its expiration date, then you have another journey to take.
But if you’d like a refresh, then try these simple things:
Be more assertive with your needs
Assert yourself intimately (the bedroom is a good place to start)
Appreciate all of yourself and expect your loving partner to do the same
Ask for more help with everything
Stop facilitating
Find a mindful practice that’s grounding for you
#3) It’s hard Accepting Other’s beliefs
In most spiritual practices, a similar vein is love. Accepting and coexisting is at the heart of most practices because most of us are just trying our best and working through some serious karma. And if someone isn’t hurting anyone, including themselves, or doing any action(s) against humanity, can we really fault them?
So, empathy and compassion for other’s beliefs, no matter how outrageous they might seem, could lead you to a spiritual awakening.
Here are some ways to love beyond the hate
Everyone is entitled to their belief(s)
Expressing unconditional love shows a high level of consciousness
There are a dozen universal laws; the rest are theories
Every living thing needs love to survive
We hope these can be used as add-ons to your own brand of spirituality. More scientists, medical, and mental health professionals share their higher consciousness experiences and open the door for more to walk through every day.
